School Activities

KIS emphasizes activities according to the community’s and its students’ needs: Art, Music, Robotics, football, and reading competitions inside the premises and other activities after school inside and out. Extra-curricular activities are ultimately emphasized in our programs since we believe that activities bring the inner identity out and can shape a student from there.
Reciting Quran Program is one of our annual targeted objectives at KIS that focuses on respect to Islam and one’s identity in the school and the whole community in general.

All students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities that help them to discover and use their talents and inspire social development, team leadership and personal initiative. The co-curricular program is designed to complement the academic offerings of the school and to help students explore and expand their budding interests.
Exploring these options beyond the classroom is key to an integrated life that provide opportunities to guide students’ passion towards learning as well as to provide the appropriate platform to experience the responsibility of working with others. Through participation in these activities, students have opportunities to form meaningful friendships. In addition, activities and competitions foster student achievement, while participation in activities and sports challenges students to spend time wisely.

KIS Talents Try-outs

The Knowledge International School is committed to enrich and develop our students physical and artistic skills, and as part of our duty to prepare an educated generation of global citizens, we sought to discover and develop not only educational talents, but also those with physical and artistic skills amongst our students. Therefore, KIS is planning to conduct a physical activity tryout for football and basketball, and artistic tryouts in drawing during school hours.

The tryouts will consist of multiple guided baseline tests to unearth those with coordination skills that could qualify them for our varsity teams to represent the school in local and international tournaments and competitions. The tryouts are expected to take place during school hours and within the boundary of the school walls under the supervision of a qualified team of professionals. The Physical activity tryouts will comprise of multiple drills and exercises to better identify those with advanced coordination skills and able to work in groups. As for the artistic skills, a committee chaired by our Arts Department will evaluate the students work and their basic level of drawing skills and art knowledge. The intended goal of conducting these tryouts is to discover the hidden talents in our students and design an action plan to enhance and improve these talents based on the latest in field using state of the art methods of training.
